Gardening With Gingers at Fairchild
Saturday, February 15 @ 10:00am - 12:00pm
Enjoy a workshop on gingers in the garden at Fairchild, starting at 10am. Gingers and their relatives are fantastic but underutilized garden plants. From tiny herbs to massive mega-perennials, they provide dramatic foliage and color, year-round cut flowers, and unique culinary ingredients. Join Fairchild’s Director, Dr. Carl Lewis as we discuss the gingers you can try in your own garden or indoors, including tips on where to find rare and unusual species. This class includes a tour of Fairchild’s gingers and a demonstration of how they propagate, plant, and maintain them.
The cost is $40, or $30 for members.
