Getting Ahead of the Wrecking Ball – Nov 10
The Historic Preservation Association of Coral Gables and The Villagers present Getting Ahead of the Wrecking Ball, a half-day workshop to show citizens how they can be pro-active in protecting historic places. The event takes place Friday, November 10, 2017 from 8:30am to 1pm at the Coral Gables Museum, 285 Aragon Avenue. Learn: How To Be Alert for Potentially Endangered Sites; Designation, What It Means, Who Can Designate Historic Properties; and How Citizen Surveys and Recording Places of Interest. This event is free, including lunch, with pre-registration by sending email to: macbirch@aol.com. Fairchild Garden Fall Garden Festival Weekend
Fairchild Botanic Garden’s Fall Garden Festival features the 77th Annual Ramble truly has something for everyone. A huge plant sale of Fairchild-grown plants and plants from vendors offering edible plants for your own fall garden, ornamentals, orchids, succulents, exotics and more are on display all weekend from 9:30am to 4:30pm.
