Great Gables Events – weekend of December 8

Greetings,

Holiday parties and festive gatherings abound in our little burg. It’s a delightful time of the year, with an emphasis on sharing and caring.

We are reminded of these elemental aspects of the human condition with the new movie about Charles Dickens and his mission to create the everlasting classic tale “A Christmas Carol.” The Man Who Invented Christmas is a charming, heart warming and insightful presentation — combining outstanding acting and artful direction — featuring the inimitable characters that bring the timeless message of caring for our fellow citizens to the forefront. Kudos to producer Mitch Kaplan and book author Les Standiford for their creative genius. Don’t miss it.

Kudos to all the active members of our civic and non-profit organizations that make Coral Gables a wonderful place to live, work and play. Your contributions make the difference between living in a city and being a part of a community.
