So many fine events on the horizon. Music lovers have a plethora of fine performances to enjoy in the coming days. There’s plenty of fun events for the kids as well.

St. Patrick’s Celebrations at JohnMartin’s
Shake your shamrock on St. Patrick’s Weekend at JohnMartin’s Irish Pub & Restaurant’s 29th annual Celtic celebration on Sunday, March 17. The iconic Coral Gables pub will be hosting a variety of Irish-themed St. Patrick’s Day activities for everyone to enjoy from noon to 2am. http://www.JohnMartins.com

Memphis The Musical at Miracle Theatre
Inspired by actual events, Memphis follows the story of Huey Calhoun, a fictitious white radio DJ who was one of the first to play black music in 1950s Memphis, and Felicia, a black club singer who is hoping for her big break. The Children at GableStage
Lucy Kirkwood’s acclaimed play comes to GableStage. In a remote cottage on the lonely British coast, Hazel and Robin, a couple of retired nuclear engineers, are living a very quiet life. Outside, the world is in utter chaos following a devastating series of events. When an old friend turns up at their door, they’re shocked to discover the real reason for her visit. http://www.gablestage.org/

Green Day Presents American Idiot
Based on Green Day’s Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum album American Idiot, this high-octane show boldly takes the American musical where it’s never gone before. Friday – Miracle Mile Unplugged
Every Friday evening, enjoy live music performances from 7 to 10pm on each block of Miracle Mile, brought to you free by the City of Coral Gables and the Business Improvement District. Scheduled to perform: Andrew Peal, Justine Garcia, Baby B Strings solo, Jorgie and Trace.

Saturday – aka Hamlet at the Museum
GableStage at the Biltmore, in association with What If Works, Inc. presents aka Hamlet, based on William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, written and directed by Phillip M. Church, starting at 8pm at the Coral Gables Museum. Admission is free and suitable for all ages. The Coral Gables Museum is located at 285 Aragon. Call 305-603-8067. http://www.coralgablesmuseum.org
