Before You Know It at Gables Cinema
Hannah Pearl Utt writes, directs and stars in her feature debut as Rachel, a stage manager who lives in an apartment above the struggling Greenwich Village theater she runs with her family. Also crammed into the brownstone are her has-been playwright father (Mandy Patinkin), her off-kilter actress sister (co-writer Jen Tullock) and a deadpan preteen niece. The levelheaded Rachel is the glue holding things together. Tuesday – Sabrina (Audrey Hepburn) – 65th Anniversary
The awkward Sabrina (Audrey Hepburn) leaves home for a year in Paris, where she turns into a sophisticated, charming young woman. Upon returning home, she’s merely a chauffeur’s daughter — until one of the brothers her father works for takes notice. Saturday – 5K Run at City Hall
The UPS 5k to benefit United Way starts at 7:30am at City Hall. The race takes participants through the city and neighborhood surrounding the Granada Golf Course. There will be a post-race party at Merrick Park to celebrate. All race proceeds will benefit United Way of Miami-Dade’s work in education, financial stability and health. Price: $30-$40.
