Sunday – William and Mary Brickell – The Australian Connection
Historian Cesar Becerra offers a glimpse of the early days of William and Mary Brickell, starting at 2pm at the Coral Gables Museum. Before the trading post. Before the Avenue. Before the Banks. William had to meet Mary and Mary had to meet William. They did so in a far off continent that had just sounded the alarm that gold had been found. First Friday – Giralda Under The Stars

Join your friends in Coral Gables to celebrate First Friday Gallery Night every month, a chance to visit the art galleries and stroll around town. Stop for a bite, have a drink, peruse the artworks and enjoy the ambience of Coral Gables fabulous pedestrian amenities.

Little Women at Gables Cinema
Writer-director Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird) has crafted a Little Women that draws on both the classic novel and the writings of Louisa May Alcott, and unfolds as the author’s alter ego, Jo March, reflects back and forth on her fictional life. In Gerwig’s take, the beloved story of the March sisters — four young women each determined to live life on her own terms — is both timeless and timely. The NightGarden at Fairchild
NightGarden is an enchanted, illuminated experience full of fantasy and wonderment at Fairchild Garden where the wise-talking tree, flying fairies, holographic butterflies and floating orchids throughout multiple acres of dazzling magic come to life. The world premiere of Area Stage’s Peter X Wendy is an exciting and action packed new adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s timeless tale that stays true to the original book’s powerful and mischievous story. Peter X Wendy is a dark and modern fairytale about a cocky young boy who spends his never-ending childhood on the island of Neverland, and his adventure with the ordinary girl Wendy Darling and her brothers. Written by Joseph McDonough, enjoy this World Premiere Co-Production with Palm Beach Dramaworks runing through February 16. In the early 1950s, Gertrude Berg and Phillip Loeb, the pioneering stars of television’s groundbreaking sitcom, The Goldbergs, heroically struggle to save their show, their careers, and their friendship in the face of McCarthyism, anti-semitism, and the political climate of the country. Jan 18-19 – Beaux Arts Festival at University of Miami
Enjoy this world-class juried fine arts show featuring art, crafts and a variety of media from more than 300 exhibitors on the University of Miami campus, from 10am to 5pm on the grounds of the University of Miami adjacent to the Lowe Art Museum. Jan 25 – 6th Annual Children’s Festival
The Coral Gables Woman’s Club invites all families and children to attend their 6th Annual Children’s Festival from 11am to 3pm with many activities for the children to participate, including water and fire safety, arts & crafts, face painting, yoga for kids, melanoma and poison control information, mobile library and much more. For the first time ever, “The Butterfly Encounter” will have a tent with over 100 butterflies and educational information about the life cycle of a butterfly. https://www.gfwccoralgableswomansclub.org/events
