Antonio Bachour Bakery and Restaurant

The undisputed king of pastries, Antonio Bachour made his mark by perfecting his exquisite creations at leading restaurants in Puerto Rico, New York and Miami, winning all the top awards. Bachour opened his flagship bakery and restaurant in Coral Gables in the spring of 2019. His signature Viennoiserie, Petit Gateux, Bonbons and Macarons are unmatched in terms of form and flavor.

Breakfast favorites include guava and cheese pancakes, Croque Madame, croissant french toast, Eggs Benedict and the Bachour Egg Sandwich. The specialty coffee selection is splendid, along with a custom blended tea.

The all-day menu features arepa fritters, a local burrata, and wagyu sliders. Salads are a specialty, with a standout Seafood Causa Salad — yellow potato causa, soft poached shrimp, tuna salad, salmon ceviche, crispy quinoa. The sandwiches and tartines (chicken curry) make a great lunch selection.

Main dish recommendations from readers include the local deep fried whole fish, a 45-day aged New York strip loin, the slow roasted bone-in short ribs and Beef Bolognese.
