Greetings {name},
Saturday, September 11 is Patriot Day. The American flag should be flown at half-staff as a mark of respect to those who died on September 11, 2001 and a moment of silence is observed at 8:46am.
As always, make plans to enjoy the great outdoors in our little city. Walk down Miracle Mile, experience the live theatre and the best movies, browse the book stores, look into the art galleries and meet up with friends at the restaurants. Visit the parks and public spaces to appreciate the bounties of nature.
Enjoy the best of Coral Gables in the coming days.

Flooding can worsen if it occurs during bad weather conditions. Sunday and Tuesday
Fellini - Nights of Cabiria
In the fifth of their immortal collaborations, Federico Fellini and the exquisitely expressive Giulietta Masina completed the creation of one of the most indelible characters in all of cinema: Cabiria, an irrepressible, fiercely independent sex worker who, as she moves through the sea of Rome’s humanity, through adversity and heartbreak, must rely on herself -- and her own indomitable spirit -- to stay standing. Winner of the best actress prize at Cannes for Masina and the 1958 Academy Award for best foreign-language film, Nights of Cabiria brought the early, neorealist-influenced phase of Fellini’s career to a transcendent close with its sublimely heartbreaking yet hopeful final image, which embodies, perhaps more than any other in the director’s body of work, the blend of the bitter and the sweet that define his vision of the world. https://www.gablescinema.com/events/nights-of-cabiria/ |
