Greetings {name},

Thursday, May 5th is Cinco de Mayo, an opportunity to celebrate the culture, achievements and experiences of people with a Mexican background, who live in the United States.

On Saturday, May 7th, the tradition of the Kentucky Derby race run on the first Saturday in May continues at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. Pull up a cool sparkling mint julep and sing a chorus of My Old Kentucky Home as the derby celebrates its 148th year.

Mother's Day is Sunday, May 8th, a time to celebrate the institution of motherhood and all those mothers that have given so much to their children and families. It's traditional to present flowers, chocolate, candy, clothing, jewelry and treats, such as a beauty treatment or trip to a spa.

May 8th is also an observance of Victory in Europe Day.

As always, make plans to enjoy the great outdoors in our little city. Walk down Miracle Mile, experience the live theatre and the best movies, browse the book stores, look into the art galleries and meet up with friends at the restaurants. Visit the parks and public spaces to appreciate the bounties of nature.

Enjoy the best of Coral Gables in the coming days.
