The Man Who Invented Christmas
Enjoy this free screening with introduction by Les Standiford and Mitchell Kaplan. The magical journey that led to the creation of Ebenezer Scrooge (Christopher Plummer), Tiny Tim and all the classic characters from A Christmas Carol, receives an elegantly appointed update courtesy of executive producer Mitchell Kaplan. Directed by Bharat Nalluri, The Man Who Invented Christmas shows how Charles Dickens (Dan Stevens) mixed real-life inspirations with his vivid imagination to conjure a timeless tale, forever changing the holiday season into the celebration we know today. The Man Who Invented Christmas is based on the New York Times best-selling book of the same name written by Miami author Les Standiford. Mitchell Kaplan, owner of Books & Books, co-founder of the Miami Book Fair, and board member of Coral Gables Art Cinema, produced the film.
