Great Gables Guide - Celebrating Twenty Years
In 2003, our efforts to help Commissioner Bill Kerdyk bring back the Coral Gables Trolley system signaled a new era for the City Beautiful, reclaiming our historic downtown's status as a pedestrian-friendly community.
It was then that Great Gables Guide began with a simple mission -- spotlight the brilliance of a clean, safe walkable community with so many fine establishments. And highlight the many fine cultural opportunities that define our Great Gables lifestyle.
We thank all our readers and all those businesses that have supported this effort over the past two decades.
We thank our city leaders and staff for unbridled support and vision.
We thank our numerous non-profit civic organizations for exceptional contributions to the fabric of our community.
And the citizens of Coral Gables -- the bedrock foundation of idealists that maintain the standards of quality we've come to expect from this brilliant little enclave within a large metropolis.
Coral Gables has been our heart and soul for generations. Every week, we enjoy presenting you with a robust listing of fine happenings -- some say an embarrassment of cultural riches -- to enhance your enjoyment and appreciation for all this little city offers.
Here's to the next twenty years. May we all continue to maintain and appreciate the unique qualities and amenities that embody our Great Gables lifestyle.
