Monday, February 2 is Groundhog Day, celebrated with Punxsutawney Phil who, if frightened by his shadow, will return to his burrow, indicating that there will be six more weeks of winter. If Phil does not see his shadow, then spring is on the way.

It also recognized the progress made by the Title IX amendment passed in 1972.
Wednesday, February 4 is National Thank A Mail Carrier Day, an opportunity to show appreciation for those tireless civil servants that deliver the mail. Their motto was "Neither rain, or snow, nor death of night, can keep us from our duty."
On Saturday, February 7, it's Send A Friend A Card Day, time to send friendly cheer through the mail. We do that by sending a note or message on a card to the friends we hold dear.
Sunday, February 8 is Boy Scouts Day, celebrating the birthday of the American scouting movement on February 8, 1910.
Sunday, February 8 is Super Bowl Day, the pinnacle of the American football season with the NFL championship game, a massive American cultural event that unites millions through high-stakes football, major entertainment (halftime shows), iconic advertising, economic impact for host cities, and traditions like parties and food, making it a unique blend of sports, business, and national spectacle far beyond just a game. |
